If you called croc, pay up. Seen here is the work of American wildlife photographer Hal Brindley, who’s snapped a series of flicks of the first documented account of a leopard playing predator to a crocodile’s prey — rather than the other way around. Even local rangers, whose jurisdiction in South Africa’s Kruger National Park served as the backdrop to this anomaly, said they had never heard of anything like it. Turns out the meat you snag from a predatory reptile as serious as the crocodile just isn’t worth the risk in most cases. Can’t hate on the hard-headed feline above for defying the odds.
